This lively and well-attended event was sponsored by the Kennard African American Cultural Heritage Center, located in my home town of Centreville, MD. I read my first book, <strong><em>Jamal and Me<\/em><\/strong> aloud and answered questions posed by both children and adults. The local newspaper, the Bay Times\/Record Observer wrote a wonderful article.
