On February 28, 2025, I was invited to Kent Island Elementary School to participate in their Black History Month read aloud event. I was invited by Kathy Barletta, Principal, and Kia Reed, Guidance Counselor, and had the pleasure of reading Playground Heroes to their delightful kindergarten children.
